"I came home from school feeling really sick. I was cold - shaking and crying. My mom gave me a capsule (not my favorite) with some oils in it. Within a minute I was feeling a lot better."

calms me - just what I was looking for."
"I could tell I was at the beginning of a UTI and was really uncomfortable. Kris made some capsules for me to take and a blend to rub on my abdomen. By morning I was back to normal."
I get foot cramps a lot. Kris made a roller bottle for me and it is amazing. When I get a cramp, I roll the oil on and it's gone!
I accidentally got into some red "Fire Ants". The stinging and itching were awful. A couple of days using Melaleuca made it so much better.
Using the Power of Nature to Nurture -
My name is Kris Taylor, and I am a Certified Essential Oil Practitioner. That means I have studied essential oils, their healing properties, and their effects on the body and mind. I use them everyday for me and my family and can use them to help you, too.
Essential Oils come from plants - the roots, bark, leaves, flowers or rinds. Often they are harvested at specific times of year to ensure we get the maximum benefit. For instance, rose petals are picked during a 2 week period between 2:00 - 4:00 a.m. This is the time that the maximum amount of the healing substance is in the leaves before it goes back out to the rest of the plant when the sun it out. You can imagine what unseasonable weather can do to these crops. That's also what makes them so good. Wild plants that have to struggle under adverse conditions yield much more powerful oils than cultivated ones. How's that as a metaphor for life?!
Essential Oils can be used topically, aromatically, and, occasionally, internally. At first I thought it was strange, perhaps even a load of hooey, that smelling Essential Oils could be therapeutic in anyway other than smelling good. Wow - I was wrong. Pure Essential Oil particles are small, really small. When you inhale the oil, some of those small particles travel up your nose and absorbed through the skin (which is quite thin) and into the blood vessels (which are close to the surface). In addition, the sense of smell is the only one that has a direct route to the brain. All information from the senses pass throughout the central nervous system to get to the brain, but the sense of smell is the only one that is also hardwired there.
They can also be used topically. I like roller bottles for this purpose. The best places to apply oils is along the spine, behind the ear (that little spot behind the lobe), or at the site of a specific issue - the abdomen for a tummy ache, temples for a headache, or the face for acne. They can also be diluted to be used over a wider area - your legs after a long hike. I also make hard salves in deodorant-style containers for easy application in a large area. Anything you apply to the skin gets absorbed quite quickly so it affects the cells in the area. From there it travels to the blood stream, where it travels around the body.
Finally, some oils can be ingested - though PLEASE do not do this unless you've been directed to do so. This is great for digestive problems as well as systemic ones. I drink Lemon Oil in my water everyday to detox my liver. I've had stubborn acne on my chest for years that's been treated with antibiotics, Rentin A, topical Tea Tree, and lots of over-the-counter acne products - all to no avail. After drinking the lemon water for a few weeks I noticed my chest was clear - ha zah!
